We made it!

We made it to Boston! The flight went well, but Teddy did not want to sleep! It took the magic of Grandma and the parents ahead in the row ahead of us's iPad with Paw Patrol to make him finally fall asleep. The flight was 3 hours and he was awake for almost 2 of the 3.  Flying Southwest means that seats are not assigned. The combination of no assigned seats and a very under-booked flight left us in a good situation in the back of the plane. Teddy, Thom and I shared a row with Mom and Dad ahead of us. There was an empty row across the aisle so that was convenient when Teddy was struggling to fall asleep and Thom moved here to give us more space. Traveling with Teddy adds a whole new level of complication in packing. Luckily, a car seat and a stroller are not counted as a baggage item. I wish we would have kept his car seat. Because he flight had many open seats we could have used his car seat in one. We will need to remember that for the flight back home.

Once we arrived we had some technical difficulties with Uber and ended up taking a van taxi to the hotel. They welcomed us with warm chocolate chip cookies. We were also able to get a playpen for Teddy to sleep in. It was quite the struggle to put it up, but Thom and Dad got it.

We woke up this morning at 8:40 (thanks Teddy) and are now just trying to get ready for the day. It is chilly here. 55 degrees right now. More to come later!
